NOTW : Sparkling Nail

I don't know when is the last time I painted my fingernails. (I know crazy right?!) But since I have started working at site, I have been pretty lazy with my nail, either it chipped so easily or just the fact I'm just lazy. In my defend, I would say the both reason just emphasize each other. Ha!

I guess from all the girl in my office, I'm certainly the laziest when it comes to nails. Myself a year ago probably think it's insane that I can even go a day without nail polish. Until my friend brought her new polish and decided to do a little manicure session.

She bought her 2 favorite color, which are both from Etude House Play Nail. They both looks so stunning. I decided to go for Silver as my friend went for gold instead. The color translate variant under different lighting. Totally loving this color, I'm gonna go and grab one for myself!

Thank god to my friend to make me fall in love with manicure again. I definitely will start to taking care of my nail.

How To Be A Morning Person

I'm sure there are a lot of people out there like to hit those snooze button way too many times and lie in until they realized they have been slept in way too long. We've all been there! Not gonna lie, I used to, and not anymore.

I know it can be hard to convince yourself to actually get up, shower, makeup, choosing outfit and all kinda jazz that human being usually do in the morning before starting the day. But, morning is very important and if you starting it off right, you already have a nice foundation to productive day.

So, if you're struggling to be a morning person, here are some tips and tricks to help you had the games start right.

1. Set a realistic alarm
Instead of hitting that snooze button 100 times and waking up feeling like you just didn't sleep enough, set yourself a realistic alarm. Start slow and go a few minutes early everyday! Your mind will get used to the time and react as its own body alarm. Right now, I am able to wake up at 6am every morning without any alarm.

2. Water
After hours of sleep and body working throughout the night, your body is dehydrated. Drink 1-2 cups of water the moment you wake up will helps restore back the moisture you lose through the night. Feeling stuffy? Squeeze some lemon juice onto some warm water. Check out why drinking lemon water every morning is good for you

3. Breakfast
You always heard "Breakfast is the most important meal of the day". Yeah, that's all correct. Your body has been working during your sleep and you probably gonna wake up with empty stomach. So it's important to fill your body good fuel by eating food breakfast. It doesn't have to be complicated, a simple oatmeal, toast, yogurt with fruits will do. If you're not a breakfast person, you should! Start small, eat something light maybe like a banana.

4. Stretches
Sometimes you probably feeling tired and uninspired to get on with the day, the best way to get start your day is by simply moving your body. Working out in the morning is my new favorite things to do and it leads me to feeling refresh throughout the day. Sometimes we may have day when we just don't feeling the vibes to work out, just do couple minutes of stretching or yoga. It helps relax the muscle and couples of deep breath also keeps your mind calm and refresh.

5. Planning ahead
Give yourself a 5-10 minutes break, considering it as "me" time every morning to think and plan for whatever how you wanna start your day. Turn on 'airplane mode' on your phone, turn on spotify, look for those chill and calming sound (my favorite is Acoustic Morning by spotify), plot in your earphone, and just unwind. You can do which what I usually like to do is write. I feel like writing allows me to pour my thoughts, my ideas, and whatever in my mind into a pieces of paper. Writing gives me the relaxation like no other can.

6. Socialize
By all means socialize is very important to get you through the day. It can be your family at home, your co-worker at work, your teacher at school, your friends at neighborhood or maybe stranger you met on the street. Nowadays, with technologies surrounding us, sometimes it's getting overwhelming that we don't even have times to interact with each other in real life. Instagram, facebook, twitter have been taking over which made real communication become such unimportant. Appreciate the real thing standing in front of you!

Have a wonderful day guys!

Healthy Vegan Pancake Recipe.

Recently I have been watching tons of documentary and facts about veganism, and honestly I'm really intrigue in it. Find the here where I talked more in depth about it.

I'm always a lover of pancake, you may already know it if you've been following me for a while. I have posted tons of recipes with recreation for pancake. Then one day it stuck me hard when I decided to give up on animal product since usually pancake contain eggs. Then I googled up some vegan recipe then I gathered up a few recipes and here it is. Nobody realize it's vegan at all. It's fluffy just same as normal pancake but much more healthier packed with vitamin and nutrients.

You will need:
- 1 1/4 cup of buckwheat flour
- 4 tsp of ground flaxseed
- 1 tsp of baking powder
- 2-3 tsp of cinnamon (or more)
- 2 large / 3 medium size banana (ripe and spotty)
- 1 cup of almond milk
- 1 tbsp of coconut oil
- 1/2 cup of water

Topping:Shredded coconut, coconut flakes, and more banana

Direction:
- In a small box, combine ground flaxseed with some water. Stir well and let it sit for couple minutes. This will act as the glue as the substitute for eggs
- Meanwhile, in a large bowl, combine all the dry ingredient (buckwheat flour, baking powder, cinnamon) and mix well.
- Get another big bowl, mashed the bananas until paste like and added the flaxseed paste, coconut oil and stir all well to combine.
- Now, it's time to mix in the wet ingredient to the dry ingredient. Stir well and slowly add the almond milk while combining. Stir all well into pancake like consistency.
- Heat up some coconut oil in the pan (or you can use PAM instead), then spoon in the batter on to the pan.
- Lower down the heat to medium heat, and wait.
- After the bubble started to foam up, it's time to flip.
- Continue repeating same steps.
- Then garnish with your favorite (I used some shredded coconut, coconut flakes, and banana coins)

It ended up with 3 serving and I save the rest of the batter in the fridge in an air tight container. It was vegan, gluten free, refined sugar free. Super healthy and super delicious!

Enjoy!

REVIEW : TRILOGY CERTIFIED ORGANIC ROSEHIP OIL

Rosehip oil...
Hmmm, you might or might not know about this things before. But if you have catches my previous post, here. Ever since I started using rosehip oil, I'm hooked! It's been my staple in my beauty stacks every single day. Because I have pretty much oily skin, I started with a couple drops for my night routine, but now I have literally use it as my daily moisturizer.

As I'm walking down at beauty store, I found this Trilogy Organic Rosehip Oil which I have heard quite the rave about it, so I decided to try it. Tried, Tested, Loved! Just as it said. It has slightly lighter color and scent comparison with the Renew Rosehip Oil, but both does the job. It has totally helped with my acne, scars, and surprisingly control my oily skin.

I read it somewhere that oil actually counteract oil itself. And our skin produce more oil when it is dry. All the theory make sense now. When your skin is getting too dry, it basically will produce more oil to maintain the skin's moisture. By adding oil into your skin care routine, it actually helped to balance out the oil in the your skin.
I have totally emptied this small bottle which has lasted for 3-4 months. (You will spotted this in my upcoming empties.)

Is this better than the Renew Rosehip Oil?
My answer will be both works wonder. But in my opinion, if you are beginner and wanted to try using Rosehip Oil, then you should try Trilogy. It has lighter consistency, and scent if you're not get used to it.

Repurchase?
Absolutely. And I also spotted the Trilogy Rosehip Oil with Antioxidant. I'm definitely gonna try that.

Are you a fan of Rosehip Oil?

I'm trying to intake more high carb low fat food into my diet. But somehow I find what I have been craving for mostly is curry. But most curry are full of coconut cream which can be quiet fattening. - 2 carrots (diced)
- 1 cups of mushroom
- 1 packed of enoki mushroom
- 5 tbsp of yellow curry
- squeeze half of lemon
- 5 cups of water
- salt/ pepper to taste

Direction:
1. Heat up the pan and drizzle some olive oil.
2. Fry the onion and garlic until golden brown and add sweet potatoes and carrots and stir it occasionally for 8 minutes.
3. Add the curry powder in and let it heat up for couple seconds then add the water.
4. Bring it to a boil for 10 minutes.
5. Then add all the remain veges in, stir it, and simmer it for another 5-8 minutes.
6. Add the juice of half lemon.
7. Add salt/pepper to taste.
8. Serve with rice or noodles.

I made a big pot of it that lasted me for my 2-3 days lunches. It's vegan and healthy!

TIPS TO DRINK MORE WATER

I'm not always been good when it comes to drinking water especially recently since I've been so busy with work which require me to be out and about for most of my time which always led me to drinking water less than 8 glasses a day. It was so unlike who I was before which came from a person who used to drink water like crazy. Not gonna lie, it affected me a lot especially on my digestion and my skin. My skin started to react quite badly and breaking out. It's definitely the first sign and warn for myself to drink more water.

Recently, I discover that by drinking through straw has helped me with the amount of water that intake throughout the day. I don't know if it's just my thing or what, but while drinking through straw I found myself drink twice the amount of water I used to drink before. No complain! It definitely a good thing for me! Also research has shown that sipping water slowly is much better than gulping a big glass of water. It will prevent you from getting bloated or any stomach cramps.
Recently I have been loving drinking my water from a mason jar. It make sure the amount of water intake I have in a day , not to mention it looks so pretty (absolute instagram-able, obviously!). But when I'm out and abiut, sometimes I'll take my tumblr cup to go since it's super handy.

Feeling boring for plain water? I've also been enjoying adding some flavors like lemon, lime, cucumber, fresh fruit or even mint leaves to just add some taste to the water. It just feel so fresh and fun way to add a little something something to the normal water. Also I've been enjoying coconut water which seems very good to hydrate your body with good stuff.

No matter how you drink it, the most important thing is make sure to drink enough water throughout the day. You might heard of 8 glasses of water a day? Drink more than that! There are no rules or restriction for it. Just drink enough to avoid the body being dehydrated. Your body is gonna love it and I promise your skin will too!

Let me know how you guys enjoy your drink!

BENEFIT OF DRINKING LEMON WATER

Starting from this year onward, I have a new routine I have been slotting in my morning routine which is drinking lemon water every morning. It's the first thing I do in the morning every day, and I quite enjoying it so far. I take a whole lemon, cut in half, and squeeze the lemon in the warm water and just plong the skin it just to let it steep for more flavor. Sometimes if I'm feeling fancy, I might add some berries, coconut water and stuff. I personally feel like it refreshes me everyday and wake me up in the morning. It's like my caffeine in the morning but without the caffeine?! You know what I mean! :)

There are so many other benefits of drinking water:

1. Give you energy boost.

It helps loosening toxins in your digestive tract and relieve symptoms of indigestion such as heartburn, burping and bloating. I also a good source of potassium which good for brain and nerve function.

3.Cleanses your system.
Lemon helps to flush out the toxins in your body by enhancing enzyme function and stimulating your liver.

4. Blemish-free skin.
The antioxidant in the lemon juice helps with blemish. Sometimes I just put some lemon juice on my acne scares, and I find it helps with reduce their appearance, because it detoxifying the blood. I heard it works for wrinkle too!

5. Weight loss.
Lemons contain pectin fiber which helps in fighting hunger cravings.

MY HAIR HISTORY!

If you have been following me last year, (which probably you might not), you probably have seen a lot of changes on my hair with all the dye, heat and other horrible stuff that I put on my hair. Also maybe you might realize I have cut and dye my hair which I have been ruling around and finally decided which I personally love it.

My hair was damaged, dried and tons of breakage after numerous times of dying and bleaching I did last year. It was bad! I guess picture will describe much more better than me trying to exaggerate how bad my hair was.

And new year came which lead me into thought of cutting it and dyed it back to my natural color. Actually, I dyed it black first which looks totally horrible on me. It was black black! I only have it for about 2 weeks and dyed it again to a slightly dark brown which match my natural hair color. Now I love it! I feel like a newborn girl back to my natural inner self. Not to mention the struggle I had when washing my long long hair.

My newself now will try to mantain my hair to get the healthy hair and try to avaoid as much heat as possible.
I've been rocking my natural hair now and I kinda lovin it! :)

How do you feel about my new hairstyle??
